After working there for over a year I knew this would eventually happen. This is why I made the choice 6 months ago to leave the store for bigger and better things.
I am a bit worried about what this means to us, consumers. If Circuit City does completely disappear which I don’t believe it will but be down sized it creates less competition for Best Buy. Ultimately though I see Amazon, Newegg, Wal-Mart, Target, etc… as Best Buys competition but Circuit City was a good alternative for some things especially TV prices.

The brutal nature of the economic down turn is not going to back off any time soon I am affraid.
There are 155 stores total the are closing. Thats a lot of people that are going to be out of work for the holidays
