Samsung 40
Samsung 40

If you want to know what the future entails as far as Televisions go. OLEDs are what everyone is looking forward to. Samsung just showed this 40″ prototype which is the largest of its kind. As far specs go it’s got 1080P, 1,000,000:1 Contrast, and a NTSC color gamut of 107%. The main selling point with the OLEDs besides picture quality is the fact that they are almost paper thing. This set comes in at 8.9mm. Now if they actually started coming out with wall mounts that didn’t stick out as much. For all you people out there that want to be ‘that guy’ you can say,”Man have you seen those new sets called OLEDs they are almost paper. I saw one that was 40″ big an only 8.9mm”.

Good job Samsung! Reports say that their are some visual artifacts as far as picture goes but who cares. They definitely have a couple years to improve on the technology. As long as FED or SED sets don’t beat them to it.

Looking forward to future of OLED TV. Anyway, the lifespan still another problem they need to resolve.

Yeah thats a good point. Can you imagine the face of all those people who spent all that money on the Sony OLED and it dies out after a year or so after constant use.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING!?!”

“Sir that is what happens when you don’t buy the warranty on new technology”
