As I said earlier last week about a post being done on issues associated with TVs, It’s coming. I really want to put something together that extensive and covers everything out there. You’ll be surprised how much people will spend on a television and not even realize that the set is not preforming the way it’s suppose to be.

Another topic I came up with is a AV Receiver buying guide. Granted a lot of the information on this can be found in my post about DTS-HD MA added to PS3 but believe a receiver buying guide would be a tremendous asset to anyone who visits this site. It can get really complicated when dealing with receivers and those things can get expensive.

If anyone would like something written up on a specific topic please comment. It might take some times but definitely will get to it. I’m considering an update on the blu-ray player comparison. Not to mention I don’t mention much about Plasmas but consider them the best when you enter the top tier, Pioneer Kuros. Plan on maybe doing a comparison of the Samsung 9 series vs Sony XBR 8 vs Pioneer Kuros. This will have to wait a bit till the XBR 8 is available.

I have a Samsung LNR469D and I see rings, like a topagraphical map when there is a lack of detail on the screen, like clear sky or blank wall. Can you tell me about this. Thank You.

I’ll look into this for you. The only time I’ve heard of this happening was on rear projection tvs. But I’ll do some research.

With regards to LN-469D Samsung, thanks for looking into it,I just wanted to add that I had same problem with one TV and sent it back, second TV was exactly the same. I don’t think its a malfunction, more like a design defect. J Lipari
