I’m going to start a document of differences between all these specific models. It’s quite confusing when you walk into the store and have all these options. Right now at this moment (7/24/08) the 8 & 9 Series are not out. Thinking of putting together an Excel spreadsheet with all the features and if they have them or not. It’ll make it visually easier to see, even though I find it easier to explain each one since it helps you understand the differences. Most likely I’ll describe what each feature really does and what model is best for certain situations. I’ll most likely do the same thing for the Sony 2008 LCD line as well. I feel more comfortable doing it with Samsung since I’m more familiar with them.
I will say I’m not entirely sure about the differences between the 7 & 8 series. I have an idea but not entirely sure the exact differences except for the color differences & 8 series is thinner and shorter side to side.
Update: Spent all night finishing up the Samsung spreadsheet. The only thing I’m missing is how many bits each panel is and how many bits the processor. I’ll probably leave this alone unless asked to add. I’ll post and send around to other sites tomorrow when I convert to PDF. Comment with your e-mail and I’ll send privately to you.
