Today it was announced at E3 that Square Enix has decided to release the up and coming Final Fantasy 13 game on the XBox 350 in the US and Europe. I myself am quite surprised and amazed that Sony did not pay Square for exclusivity. This game could of easily been one of the best opportunities to secure the FF series on the Sony platforms. FF is one of the most popular RPGs on the market. On the flipside Square Enix has also decided that it will still remain only on the PS3 in Japan. It’s quite obvious that Square is out too make money. They know that in the US and Europe Xbox has a strong establishment and in Japan the PS3 does. As far as my opinion goes I’ll still be buying it for the PS3 on release even though I have an Xbox 360 as well.
This is HUGE news and sure too cause quite a rumble in the gaming world. Yet the way I look at it is the fact that Xbox has run out of ammo once Gears of War 2 is released. Sony still has Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, God of War 3, & FF Versus.
