Last night Derek, Nikki, and I went out to South Beach. Since Nikki has been here in Miami she hasn’t been to the actual beach on South Beach. It was great for Nikki to get out of the apartment I’m sure since she’s been sick and locked up in the place for a week. Truly you sometimes take for granted how beautiful a city like Miami really is. It is one thing to see the bay from our balcony but it’s another thing going by the actual ocean and seeing the moon reflecting on the Atlantic.
When we got back somehow Livejournal came up and how I believe Nikki wants to delete hers. Derek was making the point how LJ has almost mapped parts of his life and could go return to it and relive certain events because of his LJ. It really got me thinking. I must of used LJ for over 4 years and have majority of my high school year’s blogged on LJ. Tons of designs, photos, poems, and memories are on kept on each of my user names. Ever since Nikki and I started dating I stopped blogging on LJ. I just felt like I had out grown it and was getting too personal. I felt like it was some where I could my everyday thoughts and opinions. Now I feel that being that personal on the internet is a bit too much especially while in a relationship.
Currently I use this as a way of blogging and putting down what’s going on in my life. I will say that this is nowhere as detailed as my LJ ever was but sufficient enough to enjoy going back too in the future. This is sort of my way to get back in the blogging life. I will say that my main goal for this site is to provide a great resource for people who are looking for help in Home Entertainment products, my personal gaming thoughts, and even some religious views. The site does allow me to be myself and get personal sometimes while I post photos of some of our parties. Hey even the biggest geeks and nerds know how to party and be social. This is my first real project for running a domain and has been a great learning experience on how to run a site. Nikki and I do have many projects ahead but this is my main site right now. I hope to be running at least 3 sites by the end of the year.
For anyone who personally knows me and is interested in starting a site like this feel free to let me know. I’ll be more than happy to show you how to get something like this started. You’d think it’d be something extremely difficult but with some time and patients I think anyone could do this.
