Sunday we went to go see Iron Man. Wow, I heard it was good but didn’t expect that entertaining. I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie that entertaining in the movie theaters. Another movie that I finally got around to seeing is No Country For Old Men. I’ve had the Blu-ray for awhile but we never were like yeah lets watch this movie. Great story and definitely not what I expected.
After the movies we went to the book store. I finished up the first volume of The Age of Apocalypse. Honestly, I enjoyed it but it was really unorganized. Did some research on Amazon and found out that Volume 2 should of been the first one. Also came across a list of the X-Men series in order well sort of in order. I might be ordering a couple soon. I’m debating if I should order online or check out a few of the comic book stores here in Miami. I got to see when I can make the time to do this. Possibly Friday after my sisters high school graduation.
Late Saturday night after we returned from our friends pool party I came up with the idea of having a BBQ Monday. It was totally last minute but figured we’d get a decent amount of people to show up. We picked up some ground beef, chicken drums, corn, Jack, and hot dogs. I brought my Wii to my parents house since they got a 55″ Sony Projection TV. The usual suspects show up, Gomez & Ray. Cordovy which I hadn’t seen in awhile but lives walking distance from us appeared. Nikki and her got to know each other and hope that Nikki finds a great friend in her as she has been to me over the years. Sandie & Adrian’s group didn’t make it since they ventured off to Orlando but ran into car trouble. All in all it was a great success and lead to many rounds of Mario Kart & Smash Brothers.
I’d usually have today off but since its my sisters gradation Friday I came in. This will allow for a short work week. Just wish I could get more things done outside but know I’ll be strapped into my family’s plans Friday. Back to my audio book and work. Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable long week-end. Go see Iron Man! Now to find time for: Prince Caspian, Indian Jones, & Speed Racer. Something tells me Speed Racer will end up being a rental.
