Lately I’ve taken up tons of new stuff. My recent kick is on World of Warcraft. Finally got it installed on my PC but no avail on my laptop. Sigh, I want a new laptop already but I’ll hope for a Mac on my Birthday. Got to play for awhile last Tuesday but since then haven’t logged on. It’s hard to a play a game like that when you live with your girlfriend. I’m not going to log on and start playing while she’s here unless she’s playing also. Besides the game online I’ve totally gotten into the Trading Card Game. Went on a search for a starter deck but nothing. Eventually decided to pick up 3 booster packs (each comes with 19 cards). Got a decent amount of cards now. I can’t wait till the art book shows up.

On the whole adventure of finding cards we hit up Toys ‘R’ Us for some Lego’s. Their weren’t so many but it was cool to see some of the larger sets built and how they look. Totally astonished me how expensive Lego’s are. Really makes you think about all those old toys you had as a kid. Not to mention if you ever have kids realize damn should watch out what they take up, lol j/king.

I want to say about a week or so back we went to Barnes and Noble where Nikki picked out some board games or flash cards. I ended up picking up a graphic novel from X-Men. Don’t know why but I was sucked into the whole X-Men as a kid even dressed up like Wolverine one year for Halloween. I also collected some of the trading cards. I’m not going to lie some of the cards that I have are SICK! Well the one era of X-Men that totally got me into them was the Age of Apocalypse, what a surprise huh? My dad is extremely religious and has been teaching me Bible Prophecy. It sort of sucks that I don’t remember everything since Nikki has taken an interest. It’s just not completely fresh in my mind anymore. I can’t remember the exact details of the book of Daniel or Revelations. I really should go back and read them over again. So I picked up Volume 1 of the Age of Apocalypse. Wow! Is all I have to say. The illustrations on the glossy paper looks incredible, so much nicer than the paper comic. The story does not follow with what I remember but hey it’s still an awesome story. It’s a great thing to pick up randomly when you feel like reading.

Besides reading the graphic novel I’ve been listening to audio books. I started reading the Left Behind series since I’ve always enjoyed the concept of having a story set in the Apocalypse. I’ve always thought if they made a movie about it that it would totally destroy any record. Think about if George Lucas or Spielberg took up a movie about Revelations. The war scenes, plagues, visual effects, angels, demons, etc… would be INSANE! I decided to read the books even though the size of them always intimated me. I’ll say after the first two I realized it was no big deal on reading them. Definitely took a while but will say it made it that much more enjoyable. Since Nikki had started to listen to audio books and had signed up for Audible, I thought since I had just gotten my new iPod in NY it’d be some interesting to listen to on the way home from NY. Awesome! Ever since then I haven’t picked up any of the books and been listening to them in the car, bed, couch, office, etc… Can’t remember which book number I’m on but want to say 7 or 8.

I’ll be honest we haven’t been playing too many video games as of late. Have to urge to play Smash Brothers & Mario Kart more but usually exhausted after day of work and want to sit on the couch and write a blog entry or work on one of our sites. Mass Effect is a game I’ll eventually want to get back into once the designs and layouts of all the new domains we’ve bought are done. Also Haze comes out this week. Really interested to see how that game came out not to mention how multiplayer is with bots. If it ends up supporting four person split screen with bots we might have the next big multiplayer game. Yet I don’t think it does and only supports 2 person split screen.

One thing that really caught my attention again are the World of Warcraft figures. Nikki’s taking up collecting miniatures from Magic. She’s been picking up the boxes of the Desert pack. I was joking with my co-worker Mike about placing some toys on my desk since it seems like everyone has some on their desk. Mike’s big on Transformers and has some on his desk. Nikki has all sorts of little things on her desk. Think I might order one of the figures from WoW sometime soon. The new series comes out in the summer. The one I’d totally want to get in the future is the Illidan figure but its just so expensive. Maybe when StarCraft 2 comes out they’ll come out with some figures also. Some of the new units would be sweet or if they ever made a Archon figure.

Well it’s my day off and finally completely awake. Time to run tons of errands. Got to finish organizing some new dubstep I got over the week. Thank God for iPods!
