Friday was my dads 65th birthday. Man its scary to think my father is that old. He’s probably one of the only people on this Earth right now that I admire. If anyone mentions who is the most moral good person alive I know, without a doubt I’d think my father. Friday after work we headed out to Bal Harbour since my uncle just came home from having a liver transplant and we were having dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Got to see my older sister, her husband and their two kids. It was just dinner with the family and left after. I had be thinking of taking Nikki to Tampa since she really really wanted to go for one of the last Tampa parties. I was all for going out Friday night but realizes if I really wanted to goto Tampa I should stay in.
Saturday we woke up and I started prepping myself for the journey. To get me in the mood we took an adventure to Total Wine. Picked up a serious amount of beer. Wow, I totally love that place. We must have at least 10 different types of beer in the frig right now. Came home and loaded up my iPod for the 4 hour car ride. I can’t believe I only have 3.4Gb free on my iPod now, totally should of gotten the 160 Gb. While I was loading up all my music I immed our friend Ray to see if he wanted to go for the adventure thinking no way he’d go so last minute but worth a shot. Sure enough he was on his sidekick and said he was on way home and be ready to go in 30-40min. AWESOME!
We definitely had a good time on the way up. It was nice to get to know Ray a bit more since we’ve only hung out a couple times. He definitely reminds us of Brian our old roommate just more amped to go out and not bail out. Made some good time on the road and made it to Tampa in 3 hours and half. I dropped off Nikki at her party with Ray. Got to see some people I hadn’t seen in awhile and was great to see they were all doing well. Eventually left to Kevin, my old roommate, party. It was as if nothing had changed except hair cuts. All in all it was a good time and lots of beer pong. My big brother in TKE even showed up for awhile since I hadn’t seen him in over a year. Had to have Ari Gold take me to pick up Nikki & Ray since drank too much. Nikki wanted fries on the way home and we stopped at McDonald’s. Ray is notorious for getting free food at places and sure enough he asked for a free cheese burger and the lady totally said, “hold on a second” and came back with one. It was great!
Got back to Kevin’s and pasted out on the floor. We left back to Miami pretty early and made some serious good time considering it was Mothers day. Dropped off Ray and hit up some Flanigan’s for lunch. Man that place never gets old. We were exhausted and my mom ended up saying she’d move dinner with us to another day since I sounded so tired on the phone.
Unfortunately I didn’t take the camera so don’t have any photos. This week-end coming up is going to be a Beach BBQ. So anyone in Miami area and up for some BBQ by the beach let me know.
