This is shocking! I reckon this is why the Wii is doing so much better than these online devotees. Red Faction 2 was another good one on PS2 - 4 player, but not as nice as Red Faction 1. Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on Game Cube had 4 player split screen with custom bots. Also there was a star wars game that allowed 4 player wave split screen, we were in vehicles - Rogue Squadron maybe? Thanks for the LOTR suggestion I am looking into it now.
