While at work today going through all sorts of blogs I come across news that Blockbuster has sent an offer to Circuit City. Ever since I’ve left Circuit City it has been a relief to me. The way the stock has been falling and new structure of company would always have me worrying if I’d have a job in the future. Granted I knew retail was not what I wanted to continue in but always worried me while I did work there. I always joked that since the day I left the company that I’d be waiting to see when the company would go down completely. If Circuit were to take this offer (which is quite generous) I truly believe this would only speed the process up of CC going down. Blockbuster has also been suffering dramatically and this is one last of their last moves I believe to stay in the game before they suffer a final blow.
If this deal goes through it will only speed the countdown even more for both.
